Calm that works under pressure

Workshops for teams working at pace — practical techniques for managing tension, staying focused and preparing to present. No theory, no lying on a mat, and no need to open up in front of your colleagues.

I lead sessions in English and in Polish — equally at ease in both, including for international teams.

In person or online.

Why it works in a company

Everyone leaves with a set of exercises they know how to do and can adapt to their own needs. They take anything from a few seconds to a few minutes, can be done at your desk or outside the meeting-room door, and need no change of clothes, no equipment and no special space.

That matters in practice: a technique that can't be used at work won't be used.

What I offer

Introductory workshop — 90 minutes

A single session for a team of up to 20. Everyone leaves with a set of short exercises to use through the working day. It works well as part of a team day, an annual meeting or a company wellbeing day.

Series — 4 to 6 sessions of 60 minutes

This format lets you explore a wider range of techniques and find out in practice which ones work best. Each session can have its own theme, agreed with the company — for example working under pressure, breaks during the day, concentration, winding down after work. Recommended both ahead of a particularly busy period and as a regular part of looking after your team's wellbeing and performance.

Themed workshop — from 90 minutes to 3 hours

A single session with a scope agreed with the company. The most popular theme is preparing to speak and present — work with the body and the breath, complementing presentation skills training.

One-to-one sessions for senior managers

Individual sessions for people under constant pressure to make decisions.

Who leads the sessions

My name is Maria Będzińska. I am a certified sophrologist, qualified as an Advanced Practitioner at The Sophrology Academy in England — the first and currently the only one in Poland. I also studied English philology at the Jagiellonian University, which is why I lead sessions in both languages.

I have worked professionally in music for over twenty years. An orchestra is a team that has to do its work flawlessly, at a specific moment, in front of an audience and with no chance of a second take. I know from my own experience what tension does to precision, attention and teamwork — and what helps when the stakes are high.

A first step

Sophrology is a new method in Poland, so I understand that it can be hard to buy something nobody on the team has tried. A good place to begin is the introductory workshop — a single session, after which your team can judge for itself whether it wants more.

Drop me a line and I'll come back with a proposal suited to the size of your team and what's going on for you.
